CLIMATE

Hot humid on the coast and the islands as well as Ruaha and Selous and temperature inland the warmest period is September, October and January and the coolest is July, June, July and August can be very cold on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater  rainfall in March , April, May, and November .Generally temperatures are pleasant ranging between 15°C (59°F)- 26°C(78°F) during the day; sometimes rising above 30°C(86°C) in the warmer months.

LANGUEGE


The national language in Tanzania is Swahili, spoken with more than 120 tribes   although English is widely spoken.
FIRST AID


Although YCN are equipped with a first aid kit, we suggest that you bring a small airtight container with a few well-choosen articles, such as: plaster, travel   sickness tables, antiseptic cream, antihistasmine cream, pain relieving tables for headaches,indigestion tables, sunscream, eye drops, insect repellent , medication for upset stomachs and after-sun moisturizer.we remind tavellers who have any allergies i.e insect stings, or an asthma condition, to pack the required medication.
HEALTH RQUIRMENTS


·         For all medical issues we recommend you discuss with your Doctor. However, Tanzania fall into the region of where yellow fever can be found, and thus it is imperative for all travelers to obtain a yellow Fever vaccination as well as asking your Doctor to provide you an international Certificate of vaccination which  must be valid from no less than 10 days prior to travel, and which should be carried with you during border crossings to serve as proof that you have been vaccinated accordingly. Although the vaccination the certificate is not always requested, it be in some instances, and not having the certificate in those instances may lead to denied entry. In addition, some countries of origin, as well as other countries within Africa may require proof of vaccination as a condition of entry or re-entry  from a  country where  yellow fever is found. If you can not fulfil this requirement please contact o YCN for further advice on the issue, Although it should be stressed that YCN cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from not having the relevant certification in the event it is requested.
·         Please consult your physician before you travel to Africa for precaution against malaria
·         Anyone who has any special medication should take enough supplies to last the visit.
MONEY


·         Banks and foreign exchange bureau are available at all international airports and in all main towns.
·         US dollars are widely accepted; however, notes dated before 2006 are no longer accepted. Also, high denomination notes may not be accepted.
·         Travelers cheques are not accepted as a method of payment in Tanzania.

·         Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or  J.K. Nyerere  International airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a members of YCN team who will transfer you to the   accommodation place  then next day YCN team will driven you to the Serengeti camp and other attractive parks.
